AN elderly man has died after becoming wedged between a vehicle and a fence on a property north-east of Bathurst.

A spokesperson from NSW Police confirmed that at about 3.30pm on Monday, March 17, 2025 emergency services responded to reports of a male trapped at the entrance to a property.
There, it was discovered that he had been wedged between a gate post and a vehicle at the property on Tara Loop Road, Ilford.
NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed the man, however, he died at the scene.
The police spokesperson confirmed that the officers from the Orana Mid-Western Police District had established a crime scene at the property and commenced an investigation into the incident.
During these investigations, police urge anyone who has information about the crash, or dashcam/mobile phone footage to contact Mudgee Police Station on 6372 8599.
