Homicide detectives are investigating after shots were fired at the ex-bikie in a car park on High Street, Preston, in Melbourne's north, at 10.30am on January 28.

Emergency services were called but he died at the scene.
Police believe the shooting was targeted.
Detective inspector Dean Thomas said, "It appears at this stage that the male was walking towards his car and the offender has approached and a number of shots were fired".
A woman walking beside the victim, believed to be Mr Abdulrahim's girlfriend, escaped without physical injury.

Detective inspector Thomas said she was "extremely distraught and upset" when police arrived.
"This is something that will live with her for a long time," he said.
Dodging death threats
The gangland figure was in hiding for years after receiving death threats, dodging firebombings and shooting attempts.
The ex-bikie was riddled with bullets after a targeted shooting in June 2022. Gunmen surrounded Mr Abdulrahim's Mercedes G-Class 4WD during his cousin's funeral procession near Fawkner Cemetery.

He survived and continued to taunt his would-be killers from his hospital bed.
The boxer, known professionally as 'The Punisher', has also been targeted by firebombings at boxing gyms and tobacco stores with links to him.
Detective inspector Thomas said police were "aware that there has been a number of incidents in the past where threats have been made to this particular male".
"On each occasion, safety warnings have been provided to him by Victoria Police."
Call for public assistance
Detectives cordoned off the area and a crime scene was established at the Preston car park, police said.
Police also believe a white Porsche SUV, set alight near the intersection of Northernhay and Alexandra Streets in Reservoir after 10.30am on January 28, was connected to the shooting.
"Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle in the Preston and Reservoir areas this morning, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicle," police said.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam/CCTV footage, or any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
