Bathurst Highway Patrol was conducting stationary speed enforcement on Conrod Straight on Friday, January 24, 2025 as part of the Australia Day long weekend traffic operation.
At 2.22pm, police say they detected a vehicle allegedly travelling at 145km/h, which is 85km/h faster than the signposted speed limit.
Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 33-year-old woman from Sydney.
The woman's licence was immediately suspended for a period of six months for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
The offence carried a penalty of 12 demerit points, as double demerits were in effect, and a fine of $2959.

Bathurst Highway Patrol Sergeant Adam Cross said it was disappointing to see another alleged incident of excessive speed on Mount Panorama, less than a week after a man was allegedly detected travelling at 165km/h on Conrod Straight.
"We're just disappointed in the behaviour of some motorists. It is signposted whilst you're driving around there that it is 60km," he said.
