Allan Gordon Desmond Sollitt, 50, of Gena Court, Mundingburra, Queensland, did not appear in Bathurst Local Court on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 to answer a charge of driving during a disqualification period and his matter was dealt with in his absence.
Police documents before the court said Sollitt was driving a Mitsubishi Triton east on Bonnor Street at about 10.55pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 when he was pulled over for a breath test.
He handed over a Queensland licence.
Checks with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads showed that the licence was endorsed as cancelled on and from August 21, 2024, with a re-apply date of September 20, 2026, according to the police documents.
Further records from the same Queensland department showed Sollitt was found guilty in Townsville Magistrates Court on September 20, 2024 of driving a vehicle without a licence and was fined and disqualified from driving for two years from September 20, 2024.

In court
Magistrate Gemma Slack-Smith dealt with Sollitt's matter in the late afternoon at Bathurst Local Court, noting he had not appeared by 4.30pm.
She found the offence proven, convicted Sollitt, fined him $500 and disqualified him from driving for three months, from January 22, 2025.
