The 27-year-old male constable, working in Queensland's north, has been charged, Queensland Police said on January 22.

Child exploitation material was defined by the Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council as images or videos of a child under 16 years in a sexual context, including engaging in sexual activity, in an offensive or demeaning context, or being subjected to abuse, cruelty or torture.
The constable has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service.
Queensland Police said the child abuse material "was obtained whilst off duty".
The 27-year-old has been charged with one count of using a carriage service to access child abuse material.
He is expected to appear at Townsville Magistrates Court on February 18.
