Codye Thomson, 29, and Kaine Thomson-Gleeson, 32, were arrested "without incident" in parklands off Civic Parade, Logan in Queensland at 2pm on January 6, police said.
They have both been charged with a count of murder and are due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 7.

"Investigators have worked tirelessly to locate the accused and police appreciate the assistance we have received from the community," Detective Inspector David Harbison said.
Murder in Caboolture
The brothers allegedly assaulted and fatally shot 23-year-old Chloe Jade Mason on Railway Parade in Caboolture between 11.40pm on December 21 and 12.15am on December 22.
Detectives allege the attack was not random and the victim knew her killers.
The men were believed to be driving a white Holden Commodore wagon with Queensland registration 953 HO4 when they crossed the NSW border on December 30.
The car has not yet been found, police said.
Chloe Jade Mason's family grieves
Ms Mason was remembered as an "incredible woman" by her sister Danni Mason on December 23.
"Chloe was a beautiful 23-year-old who was loved by many. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a friend," her sister said.

"This loss has devastated our family and we struggle to come to terms with this so close to the holidays.
"As sisters, we grieve for the things she won't experience, all the things we aren't able to share and the memories we won't make."
