Cameron Greenhalgh says: "Wellington started fast and put a couple of tries on. We where a bit flat to start and only had the ball the ball twice in the first 20 minutes, and only 11 sets in the first half.
"I knew if we got our fair share of the ball we would be right. Our start needs to be better from now on, maybe it's what we needed before the semi-finals.
"We will work on that this week, all the players stood up when needed so I'm happy with that."
Wellington Cowboys
Result: Lost to Forbes 48-32
Justin Toomey-White says: "We spoke about it during the week and our plan was not to leave our fate in another team's hands. We wanted to go over there looking to win to guarantee a semi-final spot.
"It was disappointing, the last 20 minutes of the game, where we leaked a few points but it's always a tough match going to Forbes. We knew we were going to have our hands full.
"We've made the semi finals now. It's the old cliche of it being a new competition now so we'll get stuck into training and then head to Bathurst on Sunday."

Bathurst Panthers
Result: Defeated Orange CYMS 26-23
Jake Betts says: "It was worrying at stages. I said from the get-go that we didn't want to play at Forbes because playing them over there is a tough one
"Wello beat us last week so now we get the chance to try and get one back on them.
"There's still plenty of improvement in us, that's for sure. We needed that win today for our confidence. The boys will get a bit of belief back from that."
Orange CYMS
Result: Lost to Bathurst Panthers 26-23
Jack Buchanan says: "When you're playing finals footy and teams of that quality you can't be gifting teams possession like the way we did today.
"It was more about where we were turning it over as well. We were giving them penalties and dropping the ball in our own half. When you're doing that at the back of the half it's really going to hurt you.
"It doesn't matter how fit your side is, and obviously on a nice day like today it got us in the end."

Dubbo CYMS
Result: Defeated Nyngan 42-16
Shawn Townsend says: "We just had to get a win to secure the two points and get a home final. The boys did that and our attack wasn't too bad so I'm happy with that.
"Our kicking game was a lot better, we scored some tries off some kicks and got a few repeat sets so we were able to build a bit of pressure."
Nyngan Tigers
Result: Lost to Dubbo CYMS 42-16
James Tuitahi says: "I wasn't too happy about the result. We started off pretty strong but we just couldn't hang on.
"A few calls didn't go out way and we turned the ball over in wrong spots and you can't do that against a good pack like CYMS.
"There were a few lessons learned this season that we will work very hard on come pre-season."
Parkes Spacemen
Result: Defeated Macquarie 34-30
Chad Porter says: "We've just got be better there. We're just a bit inconsistent. We haven't really played our best footy but hopefully we've got it come ahead of us.
"It's lucky that we've got that in that top four to get two cracks at it. We'll build off today even if it was a scrappy win.
"I spoke to the boys on Friday and we had a bit of a chat. I said I've got belief in the squad that we can go all the way. But we've got to do the work and we've just got to get it right.
Macquarie Raiders
Result: Lost to Parkes 34-30
Jarryd Meredith* says: Jason Boney had a chat to the boys (in the sheds) ... he said that game was probably a reflection of our entire season.
"It's something we've spoken about regularly. You don't want to make excuses but it was just one of those seasons where some of our key players had long-term injuries and 'Kav' (Kavanagh) getting suspended for five weeks.
"We just couldn't get the same team on the paddock throughout the season and that probably hurt us in a lot of games."
*Jack Kavanagh unavailable
Mudgee Dragons
Result: Defeated Lithgow 42-12
Jack Beasley* says: "It was another tough game.
"We didn't make it too easy on ourselves due to a few errors but I'm pleased with our defence. Lithgow threw a fair bit at us and they're going to be a good side in the coming years.
"It's obviously very pleasing to wrap up the minor premiership but it means nothing now. Anyone can win the comp, it's a really strong competition this year. Finals are always a fun experience and we're just going to enjoy this."
*Clay Priest unavailable
Lithgow Workies Wolves
Result: Lost to Mudgee 42-12
Pete Morris says: "Mudgee are a good team. We stuck with them for a while but they got away from us in the second half.
"We have all local kids and for footy to survive here that's how we need to be. They are a little team that never give in.
"The growth in the players.... most of them had little or no first grade experience and now have a season under their belt.
"Next season is a little way off but we will need to keep our locals and hopefully add a player or two."
Bathurst St Pat's defeated Orange Hawks via forfeit
