
An alleged robbery ended in two arrests after shoplifters allegedly stabbed a supermarket employee on January 28.

Officers were called to a supermarket in Riverstone, a suburb in Sydney's north west, and found a 47-year-old employee suffering stab wounds to his chest and side at 4.15pm.
The man is in a stable condition after undergoing surgery at Westmead Hospital.
Police believe the supermarket employee was stabbed after he intervened while two people were shoplifting.
A second staff member was punched in the face during the scuffle, police said.
Police said a knife found at the scene had been sent for forensic examination.
A 31-year-old Fairfield East man and 21-year-old Wetherill Park woman were arrested shortly after the alleged attack and are expected to face court on January 29.
The man was charged with wounding with an intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The woman was charged with larceny and assault occasioning bodily harm.
