Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage shops at Aussie grocery store

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has been spotted picking up some groceries in a West Australian beach town.

The American star was recognised at an Asian grocery store in the Margaret River Region town of Busselton.

Donning a pair of red-tinted sunglasses, the bearded Cage posed for some fan snaps shared by the Food of Asia store on social media.

The Oscar-winner is down under for production of psychological thriller The Surfer.

The film follows the return of a man to his Australian hometown where he becomes entangled in a turf war with local surfers.

Media reports in August revealed a casting call out had been sent to local high school students to play young surfers in the film.
