A380s just aren’t big enough anymore, according to Emirates.

The Gulf carrier’s boss is dreaming up the next big thing to fly the skies… the Superjumbo.

With a massive surge in demand for flights across the globe in the past 12 months, President Sir Tim Clark says there simply won’t be enough planes and enough seats to meet demand.

Instead of hiking up the prices, he’s designing a new “Queen of the skies”.

With a focus on sustainability, the plane aims to be lightweight, fuel-efficient and powerful. 

And for the fun stuff? Well, let’s just say the US$2 billion investment in the Emirates fleet announced this week should be enough to cover some sexy new inflight features.
