Attractions

The healing waters of the area has attracted many dating back to the late 1890s. It is now also known as a spiritual and physical wellness centre with spa treatments and massages.

Wander around Lake Daylesford, created in 1929, takes centre stage in the town.

Then head to Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens that date back to 1863 and are built on an extinct volcano.

Nearby Hepburn Springs is home to the iconic Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa.

The Lake House Daylesford offers outstanding accommodation, a great spa menu and restaurant set amid manicured grounds. Established by Alla Wolf Tasker and her family, they have recently opened Dairy Flat Farm that features a luxury lodge, vineyards and sour dough bakery.

Food guru Alla Wolf-Tasker of the Lake House helped put Daylesford on the food map- her restaurant offers an outstanding culinary experience. The Boat House, Beppe and the Daylesford Hotel also have a big following.

There are many quaint cafes and restaurants that feature innovative menus and good coffee.
