The new extension was funded through a NSW Department of Education Start Strong Capital Works grant, received in 2019.
The centre's director Meredith Cox said the funding allowed for the creation of a three to four-year old and four to five year-old room.
"Previously we had one room to service all pre-school children of Oberon but with the new room it's allowed us to open up to three to four year-olds," she said.
The new space means the centre can open five days a week for each age group and more places have opened up.
"It's really great to be able to service the community," Ms Cox said.
"We are so grateful to the state government for granting us the funds to extend our service and provide quality care and education for the pre-school children of our community," she said.
Ms Cox said the children were enjoying the new space, learning areas of development and social skills, preparing them for 'big school'.
"The kids are enjoying the new space and we're lucky to have some good quality teachers who have helped with the new change," she said.
She said the grant also allowed the centre to create a space for the educators.
"We now have a staff room to eat our lunches and program. We have also been able to adjust our service for better disability access," she said.
Ms Cox wanted to thank Jay Bailey and his team at Bailey's Home and Construction for doing a wonderful job on the extension.
The centre will be open from Monday to Friday 8.30am-4pm during school term and is taking enrolments for 2022.
"If you have a child aged three to five years-old get in touch, we have very affordable fees allowing access to pre-school for all," Ms Cox said.
