Ghanaian-born hip hop artist Genesis Owusu, who calls Canberra home, is among the top nominees for the 2021 Aria Awards.
The 23-year-old was on Wednesday nominated for six of the prized music awards which will be announced on November 24.
Australian singer and songwriter Amy Shark also received six nominations, with she and Owusu both contesting categories including Best Artist and Best Australian Live Act.
Shark also featured among the Song of the Year nominees for Love Songs Ain't For Us, featuring fellow Aussie Keith Urban.
Urban was named among the 10 category nominees for his collaboration with Pink, titled One Too Many.
Tones and I - a recent Aria Best Female Artist - is also in the running for Song of the Year with Fly Away, along with nominations in six other categories.
Midnight Oil was one of six artists to receive nominations in five categories. The group's latest production The Makarrata Project is up for the Best Rock Album, along with AC/DC's Power Up.
Kylie Minogue and Crowded House are in the running for Best Adult Contemporary Album for their respective titles Disco and Dreamers are Waiting.
Minogue is also among the nominees for Best Artist.
The Arias will no longer present separate Best Male and Best Female artist awards, but rather a single Best Artist.
