Matt, George and Trent Rose grew up watching boxing in Bathurst and enjoyed the physicality of sports, playing league for the Oberon Tigers. They have since gone on to form the number one boxing promotion company in Australia - No Limit Boxing.
One of the fighters they promote is undefeated super welterweight star Tim Tzsyu and come November 17, the Rose brothers will be watching him chase his 20th consecutive win against Japan's Takeshi Inoue.
It will be yet another chapter in the long history of talented Australian boxers taking on big-name Japanese opponents.
"There's 50 years of history there in fighting them world-rated Japanese opponents," George Rose told Main Event.
"As a kid, for me, we loved watching the old Lionel Rose movie where he took on Fighting Harada and that's a fantastic story. Seeing the old photos when Lionel returned as a champion was massive for us too.
"I love the rivalry that we have. Timmy is the best fighter in Australia at the moment and to be taking on the number one Japanese opponent in Takeshi Inoue, it's continuing that tradition of massive battles between Japanese fighters and Australian fighters.
"Takeshi Inoue is an absolute warrior, he's someone that's going to try and bring it to Tim, he wants that mantle of what Tim's got."

Since signing on to promote Tszyu in 2019, the Rose brothers have seen him continue to rise and enhance his reputation as Australia's most exciting boxing prospect.
He's been mandated to fight for a WBO world title and while he risks losing that shot by taking on world number seven Inoue, after what George Rose describes as a 'whirlwind couple of months for No Limit Boxing and Tim Tszyu' they are eager to see the bout go ahead.
"It's a very risky fight that's true," Rose said.
"But this fight here, this is about Tim Tszyu taking on the world, taking the next step into preparing for that world title fight. He loves to stay active, he's the most active number one contender in the world, this is going to be his fifth fight in 14 months.
"Tim loves the challenges and that's what we keep putting forward for him, we want to find the best opponents for him in the world."
I love a good fight, there's nothing I love more than seeing Tim Tszyu back in the ring.
- George Rose
The fight will be staged at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and Rose is hoping for a sell-out.
"Obviously to be able to bring a fight of this international calibre here to Australia is massive, it's massive," he said.
"We've proven that we're able to put on these fights to showcase Tim Tszyu against his first international opponent.
"We're looking forward to selling out another great venue here in Australia.
"I love a good fight, there's nothing I love more than seeing Tim Tszyu back in the ring. It feels like an eternity since we had that July 7 fight."
