But the committee has been busy decorating several trees in Oberon's main street in winter woollies.
The festival, an initiative of the Oberon Garden Club, is designed to celebrate Oberon's winter beauty.
It was planned to take place from the end of July to the beginning of August, featuring competitions and events, music, food and wine.
The plan was for the focus to be on botanical displays, based on what is in the landscape - what is grown, picked or harvested in autumn and winter around Oberon.
Organisers hoped to include paintings, sculptures, photography and videos and award prizes in the competitive sections.
Plans are underway for 2022.
