Water restrictions
No more
Not so much a what's on as a public notice, but the wet winter we are experiencing has meant that Oberon Dam is currently sitting at 52.85 per cent capacity and rising. That has allowed Oberon Council to remove all water restrictions immediately.
Tarana Farmers' Markets
Cancelled
With the ongoing COVID situation still unfolding, Tarana Farmers Markets have cancelled the July event that was scheduled to be held on Sunday. Organisers hope that the markets will be back up and running by August.
Council elections
Forum
Nominations for the local government elections close August 4 and the Oberon Business and Tourism Association (OBTA) will host a "Meet the Candidate" forum to get to know prospective councillors wanting to represent the community for the next three years. This not a forum to critique the current council, but to hear the vision of prospective future councillors. August 9. Venue and time tba.
Heritage railway
Guest speaker
Council economic development and tourism manager Mat Webb will be special guest at the next Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway's bi-monthly meeting. Mat will discuss Oberon's tourism strategy and how OTHR's railway adventure fits with that. August 4. 7.30pm. Oberon Oberon RSL.
Men's Shed
Regular event

Mark Lizotte, aka Diesel, has had a stellar 30-year solo career, following his arrival on the Australian music scene in 1986 with Johnny Diesel and the Injectors.
