Due to the new COVID outbreak, the Can Assist Tigers day has been postponed until further notice. Will keep you updated for a new date. The Oberon Farmers' and Community Markets schedule for this Saturday are also cancelled. Oberon RSL Club has advised that the Morning Melodies for Thursday, July 1 and Dreams - the Fleetwood Mac Show, set down for Sunday, July 4, have been postponed until further notice. Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway's open day scheduled for Saturday, July 3 has also been cancelled due to the current lockdown regulations.

Time fillers
Oberon Library school holiday activities include Gaming sessions (Tuesday, July 6, ages 12+); Shaving Cream Creations (Thursday, July 8). All events 10.30am to noon and are free of charge. Bookings essential 6329 8220.
Winter Festival
Continuing
The Bathurst Winter Festival will continue this week - however there will be COVID protocols in place and enforcement of current rules. Highlights of the festival include the ice rink, ferris wheel and carousel, as well as illuminations and light shows, food drink and music aplenty. Until July 11. Hospital auxiliary
Coming up
The next meeting will be the annual general meeting on July 16. The meeting at the Oberon Multi Purpose Service in North Street will be preceded by lunch, commencing at 12.30pm. It is planned to have a visit from the Companion Dogs and their handlers in September. The auxiliary thanks the bowling club and netball club who have given generous donations to assist in purchasing resources for the hospital.
Christmas in July

A festive winter spectacle is poised to fill Keystone 1889 next month. For two evenings [Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17], audiences will be treated to a Christmas in July feast, accompanied by pantomime and cabaret entertainment. Walk 'n' Talk for Life
Put in the diary
The group will meet at the Oberon Showground on July 10 for the regular walk and chat for mental health and to prevent suicide. You'll be able to grab hot soup, bread rolls, tea and coffee to fortify you if the weather's on the chilly side.
