The Kirk family have relocated from Sydney and Mr Kirk says it's the best decision they've made.
"The air's fresher, the water's fresher and the freedom to move around is fantastic," he said.
"We have three daughters - Tahlia, 5, Kharna, 3, and Betty will turn one this weekend.
"Tahlia attends kindergarten at Oberon Public School and she has settled in well."
The Kirks took over the holiday park in November 2020.
"We spoke to the lease owners and they invited us up to Oberon for a couple of nights' stay at the park," Mr Kirk said.
"After very little discussion, we knew this was the place for us."
Mr Kirk had run his own cleaning service in Sydney since 2009 and his family owned a garden supply business.
"So the challenges of cleaning cabins and maintaining a caravan park come natural to me," he said.
"With my partner Lyn, and Sue, who has been working here for 12 years, and myself we can deep clean the 25 cabins in no time.
"Then it's about cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and park facilities and gardens.
"I'm working outdoors, so it's just great.
"We took over the park just when people started to move around after the COVID restrictions. The lockdowns didn't seem to affect campers as much as other and international travellers.
"Visitors are coming to see Jenolan Caves and Mayfield Garden. They soon learn there are a lot more activities available in the area. We have brochures in the cabins, but for that extra help, we send them to the Visitor Information Centre.
"We also recommend local eateries and supermarkets for their supplies."
Mr Kirk has joined the Oberon Business and Tourism Association and said he goes to the monthly meetings and learns something about the area every time.
"These members are very passionate about their town and want to share it with the rest of Australia and the world, for that matter," he said.
Mr Kirk said working at the park is not a job, it's a lifestyle.
"You get to know lots of people who love to have a yarn and share their stories around the campfire.
"It's very rewarding and it's great to raise our family in such a welcoming community."
Jenolan Holiday Park offers a range of accommodation to suit couples, groups or families.
Park facilities include two-bedroom self-contained cabins (a mixture of budget and deluxe), modern amenities, laundry and camp kitchen, and large powered and non-powered campsites which cater for tents, caravans, motorhomes and fifth-wheelers.
