However, with the long weekend, there were games on Saturday and Monday.
Saturday golf was an 18-hole stableford event and a fourball best ball. There was only a small field of golfers - there were a few of the regular golfers away and some thought it was too cold.
Jason Sargent played well to win A grade with a fine round for 38 points. Marty Hotham wasn't far behind with a solid round of 37 points to be runner-up.
David Zhou continued his run of form to win B grade with a good round for 36 points. Phil Cummings was the runner-up with 33 points.
Rob McGrath combined with Marty Hotham to win the 4BBB event. Phil Cummings and David Zhou were the runners-up.
Balls went to Dennis O'Connell, Adrian Poulten, Eric Whalan, Neil Whalan, Andrew Yeo, Jason Sargent, Gareth Samuel, Kevin Whalan and Ian Fowler.
Laurie Murphy was nearest the pin on the ninth hole and Adrian Poulten was closest on the 17th hole.
Monday golf was won by Laurie Murphy with a great round of 41 points. Laurie would like to have had that score on Saturday when he played his first round of the match play. Alan Cairney was the runner-up with 34 points on a countback. Balls went to Eric Whalan and Dennis O'Connell.
Golf on Saturday will be an 18-hole par event. Members are reminded to play their match play as soon as possible.
Cart drivers are reminded to be extra careful where they drive on the course now that the course is wet. Try to stick to the rough or edge of the fairways and keep 10 metres from the greens.
