This year's theme is steel and aluminum cans, with the local winners receiving certificates and Shop Local vouchers donated by the Oberon Council.
The winners will now go on to represent Oberon at the Regional Waste 2 Art competition.
With a total of $9000 in cash prizes distributed between the different categories, a number of locals will be excited to show off their winning masterpieces at Coonamble in July.
The Oberon competition was judged by director of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Sarah Gurich and local sculptor and architectural ceramicist Christine Barker-Galloway.
Oberon Public School's Class 3-4H won primary 2D for their piece 'Gugaa', while the primary 3D category was taken out by Hampton Primary School, for their 'Cicadas in the Bush' piece.
The high school functional category was won by Jake Henby for his piece "11-3-20", a Covid mask', with Kelly Sheppard's 'Unlocking My Stone Heart' winning the community 3D section and the open 3D going to Sandra Dengate, for her piece 'Cuprous-Ferrous Foliis'.
Highly Commended awards were given Eddie Weckert for 'Pepsilotyl', OPS Kindergarten - 1S for their 'Tree of Life' piece, and Amy Curran for her work, 'Reclaimed'.
While it was an ANZAC soldier made from chicken wire, wood and cans created by Karen Turek that secured the peoples choice award.
