The Oberon ladies acquitted themselves well, coming in with a win 3-2 against Wentworth Falls.
After last year's write-off after one round due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ladies are looking forward to doing well in this year's competition.
The next round will be played against Lithgow at Blackheath next Monday.
Robyn's a champion, again
THE fourth and final round of the Oberon Women's Golf Championships was held last Wednesday in perfect weather.
Robyn Slattery is again the club champion after playing consistently good golf over the four weeks of the competition. Robyn's chipping and putting ensured her first place.
Sue Webb kept her position amongst the front runners from the start, finally coming in second. Close behind in third place was Robyn Stapleton.
The winner of B Grade was Glennie McGrath, who held the lead from the first week after an excellent first round.
In second place was Joan Graham and third was Marjorie Webb.
Winner of the B Grade stableford competition was Flo Spence.
Robyn Slattery was also the winner of the 36-hole nett and the 72-hole nett.
The day's stableford competition was won by Kathy Mooney with 43 stableford points, assisted by a 20 metre chip into the hole for two on the ninth hole.
Flo Spence came in second with 37 points and third was Robyn Slattery with 36 points.
The putting competition was won by Wilma Artery with 28 putts. Nearest the pin was won by Kathy Mooney.
Next week will be the monthly medal round, sponsored by First National Real Estate Bowyer and Livermore.
