Twenty-six golfers played the 12 holes social handicap competition last week.
Larry Williams had a good day out with the sticks to win the afternoon. David Zhou was just 93 centimetres from the pin on the first hole - that is pretty good shooting.
Balls went to Mick McKechnie, Mark Mathews, Dave Campbell, Les Handicott, Rod Wishart, Andrew Yeo, Jason Sargent, David Zhou and Laurie Murphy.
In addition to the normal Thursday competition, we had seven visitors from Bathurst and 12 visiting from Bowral with an ex-local, Bob Bearup.
Saturday brought with it a winter blast and reduced the number of players to the more dedicated.
Marty Hotham, one of the few who handled the windy conditions, won A grade with a good round of 36 stableford points. Bart Fitzpatrick was the runner-up with 34 points.
Mick McKechnie excelled in the adverse conditions. His round of 39 points won B grade. Hugh O'Neil was the unlucky runner-up with a good round of 38 points.
Nearest the pin on the first hole went to Andrew Yeo, 5.2 metres, and Kim Rawlings was closest on the 17th hole.
Balls went to Luke Christie Johnston, Paul Behan, Laurie Murphy and Dave Campbell.
Golfers are reminded to always take a full sand bucket with them and use it to fill in divots they may happen to make, especially on the par-three tees.
By fixing your pitch marks on the greens, you will help keep the greens in good shape for putting and save the greens staff valuable time.
Golf on Saturday will be an 18-hole par event.
