"I'm one of the three mechanics working with Brad Schumacher for the Schumacher Motorsport Kelso Electrical Pty Ltd Audi R8 LMS," he said.
"I love the sprint racing with no refuels and tyres. The pit stops are just for checking the vehicle.
"This weekend [the Bathurst 6 Hour] was slightly different with a tyre blowout down Conrod Straight, the fastest section of the track, and then into a wall.
"We got the car about 4pm and we all worked through the night and finished the alignment 15 minutes before the first qualifying session.
"It was all worth it, as the results speak for themselves: two class wins and two fourth outrights.
"It's a fantastic result and we are all basically volunteers - there's no external help.'
Justin is in his fourth year of a motor mechanic apprenticeship with Oberon Motors.
"My boss, Michael Patterson, is really good - he gives me the time off to travel to all events," he said.
"I've travelled to Phillip Island, Mount Panorama and now I'm looking forward to the next event in South Australia from May 7 to 9."
