A TRADITIONAL family Christmas carol service will be held in the grounds of St Aidan's Village Church, Abercrombie Road, Black Springs at 11am on Sunday, December 20. Children are most welcome. As this will be a COVID-compliant occasion, you are invited to bring your own picnic or refreshments for a Christmas singalong which will follow the carol service. THE next meeting of the Oberon Hospital Auxiliary will be the annual Christmas luncheon to be held at the Big Trout on December 18 at 12.15pm. This is a great chance for the team to enjoy a social outing together. Lunch will be preceded by a short meeting. At the most recent meeting of the auxiliary, approval was given for the purchase of two new television sets for use by patients. It was also wonderful to know that the new patient shower chairs have arrived and are much appreciated by staff and patients. Look out for our raffle to be held on December 10 and 11. Some great prizes are on offer. An exciting event to add to your calendar is the Teddy Bears' Picnic at the Common on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Plans are still in the initial stage, but it is going to be very exciting and wonderful entertainment for the children and their teddies. More on this later.
