Police would like to thank NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance, the Rural Fire Service and the State Emergency Service personnel who attended the particularly traumatic scene.
The majority of these people are volunteers and they are called away from their families at any time of day or night to attend these incidents and conduct themselves very professionally and work together under very trying circumstances to get the job done.
It's in these tough times that the Oberon community spirit shines through at its best.
