A passing resident contacted police about 6pm last Thursday, October 29 after seeing the fight.
Officers spoke to the young men and their parents and said further action would be taken under the Young Offenders Act.
Police would like to remind young people under the age of 18 that criminal action can be taken against them, including being arrested, charged and put before the court.
A spokesperson said a lot of young people were under the false impression that nothing could be done by police if they were under 18.
Police advise that any anti-social activity will not be tolerated in Oberon, regardless of the age of those involved.
Mail stolen
A LARGE amount of mail was handed to local police last Sunday by a male who found the items in Tally's Lane.
All the mail was from a unit block nearby and police have organised for the mail to be delivered to the owners.
Residents are reminded to be vigilant regarding their mail and to ensure mail boxes are checked regularly to limit the loss or theft of mail.
Drink driver
A 20-year-old male driver has been charged with drink driving after first being stopped by police while speeding on O'Connell Road on Saturday.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
The driver was taken to Bathurst police station where a breath analysis returned a reading in the mid-range.
The driver's licence was suspended and he was issued with a Court Attendance Notice.
