A community bus that could be hired out to different community groups for special outings would be a wonderful idea - such as the program the Blue Mountains council has.
There are other ideas in the pipeline, e.g. for the Common, and I am sure there are many other worthwhile projects.
One that I would appreciate would be a secure parking arrangement for trucks in an appropriate commercial/industrial area where they derive their income.
This way they do not need to park on property, vacant land or residential blocks meant for residential housing, against zoning regulations, service and drive their trucks up and down residential streets that would otherwise be havens for those who live there and present equality of lifestyle between those who experience such and those who don't.
When my place of living, my safety and that of my family is so affected by selfish truck behaviour, anything more will mean nothing. I cannot enjoy what is already here.
I am also concerned that present council management would not be the best trustees of this windfall.
