NSW Government Community Building Partnership (CBP) funding of $11,000 has been used to install solar panels on the roof of the Oberon Centenary of Federation Pavilion - 2001.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the show society and its dedicated committee and band of volunteers always gave 100 per cent with the attitude of "the show must go on".

"Putting solar power on the roof of the main pavilion will not only save on energy costs, it will also help alleviate the drain on power that causes overloads during big events such as the annual show and Australia Day celebrations," Mr Toole said.
The NSW Community Building Partnership program awards grants for community infrastructure.
