What's on | COVID testing drive-through clinic coming to town

THE Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) drive-through COVID-19 testing will be visiting Oberon this Friday, August 28 from 10am to 3pm. The testing service will be set up at the Robert Hooper Community Centre, 13 Tallys Lane. There are currently no known cases of COVID-19 in Oberon. The service is free of charge, and you don't need a referral or appointment to attend. Staff will come to you, do a short assessment and get your details, and then do a swab from the back of your throat and back of your nose.

COUNCIL has extended the expiry date of the 2019/20 waste vouchers. They will be accepted at the Oberon Waste Facility, as well as Burraga and Black Springs transfer stations, until August 31, 2020. The new waste vouchers will be issued with the 2020-21 rates notice. The rates notice this year will be issued in August instead of July due to council utilising the one month extension provided by the Office of Local Government for councils to approve their 2020-21 Operational Plan in July rather than June. As such, first quarterly instalment payment will be due by September 30, 2020.

THE Oberon and District Museum will be open on the first Saturday of the month from noon to 4pm, and every Sunday from 10.30am to 4pm.

THE Craft Co-operative operates seven days a week between 10am and 4pm in Ross Street.
