My husband and I had been searching for our destination for years: somewhere cool with no humidity, rolling hills and boulders essential, a good bakery or two and within cooee of a big town - and Oberon ticked all the boxes!

I started my working life as an early childhood teacher, spent 10 years in TAFE and community colleges in adult education and then moved into HR and training in aged care.
You could say I have covered all age groups, and it has been a pleasure.
Life has inevitably taken a U-turn and my long-time hobby has now turned into my full-time passion and business.
Resourcefulness is my strength, combined with a Scottish heritage, and I can't go past a broken piece of furniture or something that can be used for any other purpose.
"Stop the car - look at that dining chair, or were they vintage door knobs!"
We need a trailer, we need a ute, we need a van! And so my business has grown and I am now officially on the lookout for unique furniture pieces to restore, revive and to be re-loved in our community.
