The inaugural Oberon Outdoor Week was held in 2018 and the third running is planned for late this year, subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
Member for Calare Andrew Gee was in Oberon on Monday to announce the Federal Government would be making an investment of $18,500 into the festival, which combines outdoor adventure-related events and activities for locals and visitors.
This year's festival will feature a fishing competition, mountain biking, endurance running, heritage tours and more.
Mr Gee said the funding was coming from round four of the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund.
"Last year's Oberon Outdoor Week was a tremendous success," he said.
"Oberon is the perfect setting for an outdoor festival like this, so I'd like to congratulate Oberon Council for receiving this funding after doing such a great job last year."

Mayor Kathy Sajowitz said the outdoor event concept continues to grow and highlight all of the recreational experiences that are available to locals and visitors to the region.
"The funding will allow organisers to expand existing events and this is something our community and all visitors can look forward to," she said.
"We appreciate the ongoing support from Andrew Gee."
