Volunteer members collect bottles and cans throughout the year and donate proceeds to local cancer charities. Club members decided to support the Mark Hughes Foundation and your last chance to win one of these warm beanies is next week.
Balls went to Andrew Yeo, Bill Edwards, Doug Collins, Peter Dale and Sam D'Arcy.
It was a very cold morning start for golf on Saturday. It was slightly warmer as the day progressed and 28 players braved the conditions, along with several groups of social golfers.
As a result of the cold start, the club's match committee decided that golfers would play a stableford competition instead of the scheduled stroke round and Monthly Medals, which we will play next week.
Best score of the day was Luke Christie-Johnston with 34 points. Luke won A grade and the runner-up was Linore Zamparini with a good 32 points. The B grade winner was new member Anthony Borton with 32 points, just beating Dave Sellers with 31 points.
Balls went to Zac Elwin, Terry Robinson, Sam D'Arcy, Chris Lord and Mark Matthews.
With recent earthworks on several fairways, there is "ground under repair" in place with a free drop at the nearest point of relief.
