At Tuesday's ordinary meeting of Oberon Council, a recommendation was carried to extend the exhibition period for the mock place branding and town signage designs to March 20.
Council had previously endorsed the exhibition of the mock concepts to get community feedback before upgrading town signs and place branding in the area.
The mock concepts were created by local signage company Mark's Signage, which was appointed by council to develop a "toolkit" that will used in the fabrication and installation of the signs.
The project has been funded under the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund.
Tourism and economic development manager Mathew Webb's report to council said although feedback received so far has been valuable, the community participation may not be representative due to reasons such as the weather and public holidays over the exhibition period.

"Therefore, based on the response, it is recommended to allocate additional time for council to engage the community," he said.
"This is in line with council's proactive community engagement policy.
"The revised timeline will allow council to integrate LSPS (Local Planning Strategic Statements) Village Planning and Branding consultations with our Village Associations at their upcoming March meetings.
"The extension will also provide council with further opportunities to undertake street pop-ups, social media campaigns and community group visits to gain all available feedback."
The key consultation dates are Tuesday, March 3 - Burraga Community Association meeting at 7.30pm; Monday, March 9 - Black Springs Community Association meeting at 6.30pm; Monday, March 9 - O'Connell Community Group meeting at end of meeting at 8pm; Wednesday, March 11 - street pop-up Oberon; and Wednesday, March 11 - OBTA meeting at 6pm.
