The former Oberon local and Western NSW FC junior is now a regular for A-League club Brisbane Roar.

And he continued his rise on Sunday, coming off the bench against Western United in Ballarat to score his second goal in just seven matches.

Speaking to the media after arriving back at Brisbane Airport on Monday, Muratovic said Roar could've easily won by more than one.

"It was a solid team performance, nine out of 10," he said of his team's win at Mars Stadium.

"It was a 1-nil win, but we had chances and they didn't really threaten us for the whole 90 minutes.

"We could've easily taken more than a 1-nil win, but obviously we're happy with the win away from home and we're looking forward to the next match."

Muratovic - who is of Bosnian descent - made his professional debut for the Roar on December 28, featuring in a 1-all draw against the Newcastle Jets.

Only four days after his debut, he made his second consecutive start for the Roar and provided an assist for teammate Bradden Inman's winner against the Western Sydney Wanderers and his performance resulted him being named in the A-League Team of the Week.

He scored his first goal of his career against Adelaide United earlier this month and now has two goals in as many matches.

And while he started his first four matches for the Roar, Muratovic - a former Oberon High student - has been relegated to three appearances off the bench in the past month.

But that hasn't fazed the Roar's up-and-coming striker.

"I'm really happy and I contribute when I come on," he said.

"Obviously every sub should make an impact and I'm really happy that I've done that for two weeks in a row now. I'm just happy to contribute for the team and get the three points."

After winning just two games from its first nine matches, the Roar have remained undefeated in seven of its last eight matches, the only loss coming to runaway leaders Sydney FC.

"The team is really good right now," he said.

"Obviously, we're focusing on the game this Saturday against Perth, which should be a really good game.

"We're playing at home, out at Dolphin [Oval in Redcliffe], which is a good venue.

"We had a good turnout there last time we played there and we're hoping to get the fans out there again.

"When you have the fans out there cheering you and when the atmosphere is good, it kicks in and it's really good. Hopefully we can get that out there at Dolphin."

After that slow start to the season, Muratovic is hopeful that his side can finish the season strongly, considering six of the last nine game's of the season for the Roar are at home.

"We're on a really good run now and we'll look to build on that," he said.

"We've got a few home games, so we'll take full advantage of that and secure ourselves for the finals."

Previously, Muratovic played for the FFA Centre of Excellence, having scored 20 goals in 30 matches, before signing for Brisbane Roar's youth side.

The back of the net has been no stranger for him, having slotted 21 goals in 40 matches for the Roar's youth side, before jumping up to the senior side in late December.

He also played 11 games for the Australia under 17s side between 2015 and 2016, scoring eight goals.
