A GOOD field of 14 ladies played a stableford last week in pleasant conditions.

The dry conditions meant that many players were "running into trouble" more often than not.

The greens, however, are still in beautiful condition, so once on the green there were no more excuses to be made.

Yvonne Collins obviously had the run under control, coming in with 44 points. Elizabeth Pollock was not far behind in second place, coming in with 42 points.

Nearest the pin in Division 1 was Joan Graham and no-one in Division 2 made the green in two shots.

Next week will be the second round of the Arrow's Newsagency Eliminator, which will be a stableford.

A committee meeting will be held after lunch. For the time being, ladies are being asked to bring their own lunch.
