Alan Cairney showed a bit of form to take the honours for the afternoon with 28 stableford points. Brian Balaam was closest to the pin on the ninth at five metres.
Balls went to Kim Rawlings, Harold Lyme, Kathy Mooney, Mick Mooney, Joe Casey, Peter Dale, Brian Balaam and Terry Greer.
On Saturday, golfers played an 18-hole stableford event. There was an excellent field of 40 golfers.
Adrian Poulten was on fire: he had 43 points, his best round for some time, to easily win A grade.
Alan Cairney was the runner-up with 37 points on a countback from Robyn Stapleton.
In B grade, husband and wife Sean and Kathy Mooney were the winner and runner-up, both coming in with 40 points. Sean was just too good on the back nine to beat Kathy on a countback.
Nearest the pin on the first was Terry Robinson (1.6 metres). Barry Stubbs was closest on the seventh hole, just a metre from the cup.
Balls went to Robyn Stapleton, Doug Collins, Bill Edwards, Pete Griffiths, Dylan Harvey, Kevin McGrath, Peter Ryan and Barry Stubbs.
On Saturday, players will play a stroke round for the monthly medal and count your putts for the putting competition.
Saturday, December 14 will be the Big Trout Motor Inn-sponsored four-person ambrose. Members are encouraged to include some new faces in their team.
