The 12 holes of social comp attracted 21 players. The dry weather has dried the course out and there is plenty of run now. The winner was Peter Griffiths with 31 points.
Nearest the pin on the first was Hugh O'Neil.
Friday was a big day for the club hosting the Oberon Council golf day which attracted 230 golfers for an ambrose event.
Saturday golf attracted a good field to play a par event.
Mick English had a great score of +5 to win A grade from Eric Whalan on +5.
B grade was won by Justin Evans with +5 on a countback from Dave Campbell on +5.
Balls went to Alan Cairney, Scott Rowlandson, Wayne Sellers, Steve Serong, Bob Slattery, Peter Griffiths, Don Miller, Keith Prendergast, and Kath Mooney.
Nearest the pin on the ninth was Kim Rawlings while Tom Murphy was just 1.8m away on the 17th.
Golf this week is the Oberon Open, sponsored by Oberon Quarries with support from Oberon Industrial & Farming and Wills Tyres.
On Saturday members play 4BBB Stableford event and on Sunday members and visitors will play a stroke and Stableford competition.
Local members play for the Keith Cleton Memorial trophy with the aggregate of the Saturday and Sunday scores determining the winner.
