The team began the day well, winning their first match 8-4, with Ella Brien scoring two full-length tries.
The second game was close, with the Oberon girls narrowly beaten in the last few minutes by MacKillop College.
OTHER NEWS FROM OBERON HIGH:
The last game was against Kelso High. Oberon started off very solid in defence but the opposition were strong.
The heat (a stark contrast to what our team is used to) did not favour our girls and, despite their valiant efforts, Kelso won the game.
Well done to the girls for their efforts on the day. We commend them for their performance.
Thank you to Miss Bender for organising the day and coaching the girls.
