Doug Collins had a good round to win with a very good score of 34 points.
On most of his round he would be happy with that score for 18 holes.
Andrew Yeo won the nearest the cup ball donated by Don Miller. Balls went to Barry Stubbs, Harold Lyme, Andrew Yeo and Joe Casey.
Saturday was a cold, overcast day and didn't tempt so many to step out for the day.
A few of our regular players were on a six-day golfing trip to the North Coast.
Members played an 18-hole stroke event for trophies kindly provided by Steve Serong and Alan Cairney.
Rob McGrath had a wonderful round, including five birdies on the front nine, but fell away a bit on the way home.
Nevertheless, he had a fine round of 72/68 to win the A grade monthly medal, scratch score and the putting with just 26 putts.
Runner-up in A grade was Robert's father Anthony with a solid round of 84/69.
The result in B grade went to a countback. Peter Hutchinson was the winner over Kevin McGrath.
Peter won the B grade scratch ball with a round of 91 and Doug Collins won the putting with 30 putts.
Balls went to Alan Cairney, Bart Fitzpatrick and Barry Lang.
Golf on Saturday will be an 18-hole par event.
On Sunday we will take a crew of Oberon golfers to the Henbury Open at Kandos.
