This year's NAIDOC theme, "Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let's work together for a shared future", acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have always wanted an enhanced role in decision-making in Australia's democracy.

Special guests from Koomurri Aboriginal Incursions spoke about the significance of traditional body paints and the meaning of the different colours and designs.
They also demonstrated traditional songs and dances and students and staff joined in.
Students and staff were treated to a special barbecue lunch with emu, kangaroo and camel sausages.
