Sydney teacher Patrick O'Shea has returned to the area for the third year in a row for his Pub to Pub Tour in remembrance of his late wife Michelle Hanrahan, a Bathurst girl who made a career in Sydney in the health sector.
Mr O'Shea and his willing walkers are, again, raising money for the Love Your Sister charity, which encourages Australian women to have their breasts checked and raises funds for scientific research.
On Tuesday, walkers were greeted by the late Michelle Hanrahan's uncle and aunty, Frank and Eileen Hanrahan, at Black Springs.

Mr Hanrahan said he had selected a beautiful trail for the walkers at Isabella through a eucalyptus forest.
"Now in its third year, it's great for everyone to get together in a lighthearted atmosphere while enjoying each others' company," Mr Hanrahan said.
"Spring's a great time to get out and about in the Oberon area. The walk raises awareness and encourages Australian women to have their breasts checked."

On Wednesday, the Pub to Pub participants drove to Sofala to do a walk there and stayed at O'Connell that night. Today they will walk into Bathurst and stay the night, celebrating with friends with a dinner at Jack Duggans Pub.
"We will be having dinner with my late wife's schoolmates - there will be about 40 of us," Mr O'Shea said.
They will travel to Sydney on Friday and walk from North Bondi to Clovelly to finish off their tour.
"We have a mix of old and new who are making the pilgrimage," Mr O'Shea said.
"My late wife was a Central Tablelands girl, so I wanted to walk the villages she and her family knew well."
Mr O'Shea said the Paddy's Pub to Pub - You'll Never Walk Alone Tour will be at the same time next year and many more years into the future.
"We were welcomed warmly last year and we had a memorable time across the Central West," he said.
Mr O'Shea said the Love Your Sister charity was created by actor Samuel Johnson and his sister Connie Johnson - a mother of two who fought breast cancer for years before passing away in 2017 - to encourage Australian women to have their breasts checked.
