It was pleasing to see a large number of parents and students attend the session where they met the 2020 year seven adviser Kimberley Hill.
Mrs Hill spoke about the role of the year adviser and the upcoming transition process.
The next part of the transition process occurs in week three, term four when students attend Oberon High for the morning session.
IN OTHER NEWS AT OBERON HIGH:
Students attend again in week five for the recess to lunch session and the transition culminates with a full week at Oberon High School in week seven, term four.
The transition program ensures students and their parents are well-supported and informed as they take this major step.
JEANS FOR GENES
AS part of the leadership initiatives within Oberon High School, each house group is running a fundraiser at some stage during 2019.
On Friday, August 2, the Werong captains hosted Jeans for Genes day at the school.
A number of students came dressed in denim, helping raise money for the scientists at the Children's Research Centre who are constantly working towards finding a cure for kids with genetic diseases and mutations.
A particular thanks must go to Werong captains Jade Taggart and Molly-Rose Stiff, who collected the money on the day of the fundraiser.
Well done to all involved in raising over $100 for this worthy cause.
