HSC students took the first step of final HSC marking when external markers came to Oberon High School last week to examine their major works for subjects containing a practical element.

Drama students saw the culmination of their hard work on Tuesday as the external markers watched and assessed final performances.

Students performed group and individual works and some chose to do costume design as an alternative to performing.

All students can be proud of their efforts and breathe a sigh of relief as 60 per cent of their HSC mark for drama is now finished.

The remainder of the final mark comes from the theoretical exam which will be held in late October.

Industrial technology students presented their major works to external markers on Wednesday.

This year, Oberon High had students in timber and graphics strands of industrial technology.

As with drama, industrial technology students have now completed 60 per cent of their final assessment.

Their exam in late October will make up the rest of their mark for this subject.

She is enjoying the friendly atmosphere at Oberon High.
