Councillors endorsed the option of eucalyptus in four panels when they met for Oberon Council's ordinary meeting on Tuesday night.
Council had previously endorsed the second and final phase of the Community Branding Strategy which included the adoption of "Oberon - more than you imagine" as the tagline and Vision Statement within the 2040 Community Strategic Plan.

The final Community Branding Strategy also presented a collection of logos developed by Brijid Media and the community.
Council indicated a preference for the two Brijid Media logos and placed them on public exhibition for community voting and feedback.
Brijid Media collated the voting and feedback via an online survey, and this was promoted through local media to encourage participation across the community.
Preferred logo voting results:
1. Eucalyptus four panels: 60.39 per cent. The logo depicts a eucalyptus branch growing upwards and to the right through coloured panels, symbolising progress and natural growth.
2. Beautiful Oberon: 39.61 per cent. Intends to boldly and sleekly summarise a number of tokenistic natural attractions of the Oberon area into a beautiful modern design.
According to Brijid Media's report to council, some respondents opted to skip or declined to indicate a logo preference, although 83 per cent of all survey participants selected a preferred logo option.
In the survey, Brijid Media gave voters an option to provide written feedback.
The feedback indicated an overwhelming favour towards the final proposed logo. A total of 83 out of 154 responses left commentary.
