Buy Local Oberon 2019 is being organised in the shadow of a long dry spell that is affecting the town as well as its agricultural surrounds.
Oberon Business and Tourism Association president Helen Lowe said Oberon's retail, trade and service providers have been affected by the drought and they need to be supported.

Mrs Lowe is on the Buy Local Oberon 2019 committee, which has been formed with the support of the OBTA.
"This will not cost businesses anything. We will supply all relevant material such as posters and dockets for customers to fill out," she said.
"We are having a meeting at the Oberon RSL Club on Tuesday, September 10 from 6.30pm and we invite all business owners to come along and collect their posters, dockets and information packs and learn more about the campaign.
"This is not only for retailers; tradies and professional services can also get involved.
"If a tradie provides a service, they can allocate their docket and their customers can place them in any entry box located around town.
"When a customer spends only $25, they can enter the draw for some great prizes."
The first prize will be $3000 in shop local vouchers, second prize will be $1000 in shop local vouchers, third prize will be $500 in shop local vouchers and there will be 20 prizes of $50 shop local vouchers.
"Vouchers come in $50 currency, so the prizemoney does not have to be spent in any one store," Mrs Lowe said.
"And more importantly, the money has to be spent locally.
"The beauty of this campaign is that it will not cost anything for businesses to be involved. OBTA is providing all the prizemoney."
Mrs Lowe said the Buy Local Oberon 2019 committee also includes Warwick Mawhood, Kerrianne Mawhood, Gary Mawhood, Katie Maher, Ros Hammond and Wayne Barker.
"We're anticipating the campaign to begin in early October and run through to Friday, December 13, when winners will be announced," she said.
"This will give winners time to spend their vouchers before Christmas."
