"The workshops and surveys will help us to understand what people think Landcare is all about and identify what people want Landcare to look like in the local area - both now and in the future," Lithgow Oberon Landcare co-ordinator Richard Stephens said.
"It will also provide a framework to increase volunteer participation in local Landcare activities, develop Landcare priorities for the next five to 10 years that are directly relevant to our local communities and enable collaboration with individual Landcare groups across the region."
The information gathered will be used to help develop a plan for Landcare in the area.
Community engagement workshops will be held at the Tarana Hotel on Wednesday, August 21 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and Oberon RSL Club on Wednesday, September 4 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
