Dave Campbell had a good day and 27 points was enough to give him a win. Balls went to Harold Lyme, Peter Ryan, Ken Maddison and Kevin Hally.
Golfers on Saturday played a double par competition. If you get a birdie in a double par, you get two pluses instead of the normal one plus. A good field of 34 players enjoyed the winter sun.
Dennis O'Connell, showing the rest that a couple of weeks' break from golf doesn't harm your form, had plus 2 to win A grade and Neil Whalan was square to be the runner-up.
Don Miller won B grade with plus 2 and Luke Christie-Johnston was runner-up with a square card. Nearest the pin on the seventh was Alan Cairney and Darren Gordon was closest on the 17th.
Balls went to Terry Robinson, Darren Gordon, Mick English, D Ellison, Justin Evans, Kevin Hally, Ken Maddison and Peter Ryan.
Monday started out with a wintry mist and fog; most of our golfers didn't fancy the conditions and stayed at home.
There were 10 truly dedicated golfers who enjoyed the sunshine when it eventually came out.
Peter Ryan had 37 points to win, while Neil Whalan was the runner-up with 35 points. Dennis O'Connell and Darren Gordon won themselves a ball.
Golf next Saturday will be an 18-hole, two-person ambrose. Each player will have to have at least six tee shots count.
This event is a qualifier for the NSW event. The winners will go on to play a regional final.
If you wish to play the qualifier, the cost for the day will be $25, otherwise the cost will be the normal $22. Laurie Murphy is once again sponsoring the local event.
