After making it through selections playing fullback for the district team at Blayney, Tyler went on to play for Eastern Zone versus Western Zone at Peak Hill, where the Western CHS was formed.
The Western CHS side played Far West CHS in a trial at Coonabarabran.
Playing extremely well through the selection trials, Tyler earned the fullback position for the Greater Western CHS team to try out for a position in the NSW CHS team in Toronto.
Over three tough days of footy against some of the best players in the state, Tyler played well to be in contention for the NSW team, but narrowly missed out.
Tyler played up an age group, has gained a lot of experience during the trials and has a chance to make it to the trial again next year if he continues to play at a high level of rugby league.
