Denise Brien was declared the winner with an amaranthus flower.
Other entries were a vase of lovely autumn foliage, quinces and quince products, glorious apricot nectar roses, an interesting red salvia, a bee hotel and a blue monkshood flower spray.
As the weather cools and our gardens go into sleep mode it will get harder to find interesting entries. Can't wait to see what's on offer this month.
The Oberon Garden Club's next meeting is on Monday, May 20 starting at 10am at the Uniting Church Hall.
Dianna van Gaal from Antonia's Irises at Beekeeper's Inn Gardens Vittoria will be our guest speaker.
She will show how to divide mature plants and give general care advice. Ms van Gaal will have stock for sale.

- Oberon Garden Club
Inspired by Antonia van Gaal, the Beekeeper's Inn Gardens were established in 2013.
Antonia's Irises is located beside the café at the Beekeepers Inn, 2319 Mitchell Highway, Vittoria, between Bathurst and Orange.
The cool climate of the Central West provides ideal conditions for not only sensational wines and ales but bearded iris too.
Their tall varieties (70cm to 1m) are located in the paddock between the forest and the café. The median varieties (40cm to 70cm) are planted alongside the 1859 Brewery.
Customers say they like to see iris blooms in their gardens throughout the whole of spring. For this reason they have categorised their stock under early, mid and mid to late season blooming.
Outings
GARDEN club members have been on several enjoyable outings lately.
Some visited the Carcoar Garden Expo on Sunday, April 28, while our newly elected committee organised a visit to four gardens in Bathurst on Monday, May 6. The gardens were spectacular and all different.
Thanks to Janell for her organisation.
We hope to have more occasions to visit surrounding gardens come spring.
New members are always welcome. Enquiries to Nancy on 6336 1225.
