A GOOD field of 19 golfers played in the Thursday social handicap competition. Irene Bishop played some great golf to take the honours with a very good handicap score of 30 points. Nearest the Pin on the 7th green was Sean Mooney at 5 metres.

Balls for Playing Ability went to Peter Griffiths, Jason Sargent, Ken Maddison, Laurie Murphy, Doug Collins, Barry Stubbs, Peter Ryan and David Zhou.
The Saturday Competition was a stroke round for the monthly medals. With 30 golfers playing in fairly good autumn weather the monthly medal went to Jason Sargent in A Grade with a round of 80/70.
Ken Maddison was the winner in B Grade with a round of 98/70. Runners-up places went to A grade Andrew Yeo with a net 71 and B grade Kevin McGrath with a net 72.
The scratch balls went to Kim Rawlings with a round of 80 in A grade winning on a countback from Jason Sargent. In B Grade Paul Behan shot a round of 91 winning on a countback from Kevin McGrath.
Putting well usually means a good round and the winners for the lowest number of putts were Jason Sargent in A Grade with just 28. In B Grade is was Paul Behan with just 27 Putts.
Nearest the pins on the 1st went to Kim Rawlings at 5.4 metres. On the 9th green Paul Behan was only 4 metres from the hole. Balls for playing ability went to Kim Rawlings and Kevin Hally.
INDOOR BOWLS
ON April 24, 12 players were bowling at Burraga. The winning team was skip, Shane Stapleton, John Pearce and Barbara Pearce. The runners-up team was skip, Tony Press, Jessica Pearce and Dino Pearce.
Resters went to Jenny Press two, Shane Stapleton one, John Pearce two, Jessica Pearce also two and Tony Press scored one.
Adam Smith won the Burraga raffle.
On May 1 the team bowling winners were skip, Armando Giovannetti, Barbara Pearce and Dino Pearce. Runners-up team members were skip, Tony Press and George Mifsud.
Rester on the night went to Dino, Shane and George with one each.
Burraga's raffle winner was Bec.

WOMEN'S GOLF
IN cool and mild conditions for golf, the women played the First National Bowyer and Livermore sponsored Monthly Medal round, as well as the 4th round of the Golf NSW Medal. The course continues to be excellent to play, due largely to the efforts of the wonderful volunteers and a little welcome rain.
Winning the day's competitions was Joan Graham, who came in with 75 nett. In second place was Marjorie Webb with 78 nett. Katie Graham was in third place with 79 nett on a multi way countback. Joan Graham also won the putting competition with 31 putts.
Last Wednesday was also the first round of the Arrow's Newsagency Eliminator which had been postponed earlier in the year. Progressing to round two were Robyn Slattery, Glennie McGrath, Joan Graham and Marjorie Webb. Round two was played yesterday and the final round, which will be a Stableford, will take place next week.
